YidLife Crisis is a foodie-centric Yiddish comedy web series created by two friends, Eli Batalion and Jamie Elman, wanting to pay homage to the yiddishkayt in their upbringing and the questioning Jewish comedic lens on life with which they were raised.
The two created YidLife Crisis, a love letter about modern Jewish identity, set in Yiddish (with English and French subtitles). What started as a passion project turned into a hit with over 1,500,000 video views, appearances in North America, Europe, and Israel and collaborations with Mayim Bialilk and Howie Mandel.

For a young man, endearingly known as Putzel, life literally doesn’t go beyond his family’s fish store and his community on the upper west side of Manhattan.
In this heartwarming comedy, Walter’s aspirations of taking over his uncle’s shop are disrupted by the arrival of Sally (Melanie Lynskey, Two and a Half Men), who becomes romantically involved with his uncle.
While Walter tries to thwart their romance in order to ensure his taking over the business, he finally starts to realize his full potential.
