Learn with Miki Plotkin, Community Shaliach, about influential women of Israel. Since before the country of Israel was born, Israeli women have taken a lead role in its creation. Today women play a central role in the Israeli judicial and political system and in the IDF. Is there full gender equality in Israel? Who are the most influential women in Israel today?

Learn about Israel from an Israeli.  Meet and learn from Herut Gez, the Houston Jewish Community Shlicha.  She will share Israel through her personal story,  teach about things you may not know about Israel and give you insight on modern day Israeli society.

Book Club

Our Book Club is open to all adults 60 and better. Meet with others who enjoy reading and take part in a lively discussion about the book of the month. This group meets at 12:45 PM on the first Wednesday of every month. Facilitator: Donna Scott

Great Books Discussion   

Great Books discussion groups are lively, friendly, sometimes contentious - and a good deal of fun. Participants challenge their own and others’ beliefs and opinions in the light of a rich, thought-provoking text.   The group is currently reading from Great Conversations #6 and Great Books: The Soul of the Text.
