Tennis Staff

 

Linda Thomas, USPTA: Tennis Director 
Linda has served as Head Tennis Professional/Director of Tennis in the Southwest Houston area Indoor Tennis Club scene for over 25 years. Joining the ERJCC team in August 2005, Linda has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to continue to distinguish the ERJCC from other facilities and programs. Linda has guided the continued development of the professional staff and has brought a very distinct methodology to the teachings of all ERJCC Members.

Linda is a former tour professional with a career high ranking of "76" in the 1978 Women's World computerized rankings. Linda has served on the H.T.A. Board, spearheaded the advancement of Wheelchair Tennis, and has been instrumental in partnering with the USTA on initiatives to grow the game. Linda earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
 

 
Michael Reily, Staff Tennis Professional

Michael brings over 25 years of training and coaching experience to the ERJCC. While growing up in San Antonio, he trained at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch. Michael played tennis while attending The University of Incarnate Word and began coaching at Club Vitis in Paris, France while attending graduate school. After earning his Master's Degree, Michael returned stateside to coach in New York City, Virginia and Texas.

Keith Diepraam, Staff Tennis Professional
Keith Diepraam represented his home country of South Africa in Davis Cup competition for four consecutive years and was ranked no.14 in the world. He was a Wimbledon quarter-finalist in both singles and doubles in 1965. Other career highlights include notable wins over world renowned tennis greats Arthur Ashe, Cliff Drysdale, and Roy Emerson. 
 
He earned the USTA no. 1 national ranking in singles and doubles in the 35’s, 40’s and 45’s age divisions. He achieved the World no. 1 ranking in 1988 in the 45 and over age division. Diepraam was named Head Coach of South Africa’s Olympic tennis team for the 1992 Barcelona games, where South Africa earned a Silver Medal. He was inducted into the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame in 2009.

Greg Medford, Staff Tennis Professional 
Greg played for Katy High School and then went to Weatherford Junior College where he earned a national ranking and All American honors. He has over a decade of coaching experience in the Houston area and has worked with all ages and levels. He has coached at University Club, Briar Club and for the past six years at River Oaks Country Club.   Greg Medford
Rosanne Sicola, USPTA: Staff Tennis Professional
Rosanne is a USPTA certified professional and has been teaching since 1993.  She specializes in teaching beginners of all ages, children to adults. Rosanne previously taught at the University Club of Houston and church programs around the Houston area.  She has competed on many successful HLTA teams and has been with the ERJCC since 2007.
