Jonathan and his family joined the Houston community from Israel, where Jonathan was a fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to his year in Jerusalem, Jonathan was the Managing Director of Jewish Life and Learning at the JCC in Stamford, Connecticut.

With a background both in formal and informal education, Jonathan infuses Jewish education throughout the entire agency. Plans include the expansion of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, a two-year program of adult Jewish literacy, as well as bringing vibrant Jewish life to the Early Childhood Education, After-School, Adult, and Camping opportunities at the ERJCC.

“The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center has offered wonderful opportunities for Jewish learning in the past and my hope is that these opportunities will continue to grow and embrace more and more members of our community, from our youngest participants to our veteran learners,” said Jonathan.
