Children's Classes

Beginning Ceramics   K-2 GR
Our young ceramicists will learn the basic terms and be introduced to the methods of pinch pot, coil and slab. A sense of Judaism will be brought to the class and incorporated into many projects. Skill in dexterity and creativity will be fostered while having fun.

New! Lessons on the Go: After School of Rock Music Lessons   3-5 GR 
With the Lessons On the Go Instructors, Students will learn the fundamentals of music as well as how to play in their very own rock band.  Classes will be held by professional musicians with years of experience in performing as well as teaching. Children will learn their favorite hit songs as well as what it means to play music together as a team. On the last day of the program, your child will get to experience the rush of performing their song in front of a live audience. Lessons are available for the following instruments: guitar, piano, drums, bass or vocals. It is recommended, but not required that the participant has his or her own instrument.

9th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance  K-5 GR  Saturday, Feb 4
Daughters of all ages are invited as the Merfish Center (9000 South Rice) is transformed into THE place to be for fathers and daughters wanting a special night. Many daughters already can’t wait to get dressed up, go out to dinner with Dad and have a great time with him and their friends. The event is not limited to just fathers and daughters. Uncles, Grandpas, and other special men in the lives of a child are also invited (and what a great time for a Mom’s Night Out). Do you have two daughters? Don’t worry – there is enough fun for everyone! So get ready dads –put on your best suit, and daughters put on your favorite dress. 

Birthday Parties 3+ YRS
Planning a party and looking for something different to do. The J offers a variety of children's birthday party options.

Day Camp  K-5 GR 
Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Winter Break and Summer Day Camp - get a taste of all the ERJCC has to offer with basketball, tennis, gymnastics, art, swimming and much more. Learn more about the current camp programs offered.

KidZone After School Care   K-5 GR
Adventures for kids, convenience for parents. Come be a part of the ERJCC's After School Program, KidZone. Whether it's one or five days a week, KidZone provides a fun and safe place to hang out after school.  Activities include: snack time, homework time, sports, crafts, cooking, games, Judaic programming and more.  Transportation available from the following schools:  Beren Academy, Beth Yeshurun, Herod, Horn, Kolter, Lovett, Parker, Shlenker and Emery Weiner.

Kids Nite Out    K-5 GR
Kid’s Nite Out events will feature arts and crafts, movies, sports, gymnastics and so much more. Activities vary each party.

School's out, so come play at the J! School's Out Programs will feature field trips, games in the gym, swimming, and much more!
