Bookstore

During Jewish Book & Arts Festival our on-site J Bookstore has always been a welcoming place to build community through the shared love of books. In this virtual world, while we can’t meet in person we are excited to announce our new partnership with two local independent bookstores in our community, Brazos Bookstore and Blue Willow Bookshop. This partnership allows us to bring the Book Festival to the greater Houston and West Houston areas, and both stores have offered that a portion of book purchases will also support our J.

To make things easier for you, several titles are available to purchase directly from the J’s website as Premium Virtual Tickets with Books. You will have the option to pick up your book curbside from either Brazos Bookstore or Blue Willow Bookshop. For an additional fee, books may be shipped directly to your home.

Premium Virtual Tickets with Books are available for these titles:

  • Long Way Home by Cameron Douglas
  • Devolution by Max Brooks
  • Why Did I Come Into This Room? by Joan Lunden
  • Concealed by Esther Amini
  • Red Sea Spies by Raffi Berg
  • Becoming Eve by Abby Stein
  • Camp Girls by Iris Krasnow

All other books featured during Book Festival, along with other recommended titles can also be purchased straight from the bookstores.  At Brazos Bookstore you will need to put JCC in the comment box at checkout so a portion of the sale can support the J.

When you select curbside pick-up, the books will be available for pick-up the week following the event. The stores will contact you directly when your book is ready for pick-up. When you select to have your book shipped, it will be sent the week following the program as well.

Support the J by purchasing your books locally through our online bookstores at Brazos Bookstore and Blue Willow Bookshop
