As we continue to recover from Hurricane Harvey, our staff has worked diligently to get programs back up and running, both in the short term with the limited facilities available, and for the future as we get buildings operational.
Today we wanted to provide you with an update on the programs we are currently running and looking forward to in the near future.
We hope that you'll come out to show your support for the J at one or several of these programs and events.

Semester Programs

Many of our programs have started this week at off-site locations including KidZone at Shlenker, competitive gymnastic team training at various southwest locations and free drop-in JTA tennis program using the outdoor tennis courts.
Our semester-based programs, including after-school classes, swim lessons, gymnastics classes, tennis, dance and sports programs for children, will begin the week of Sunday, October 15.

Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book & Arts Festival

The Show Will Go On
Opening night is Saturday, October 28 with film and TV star Stephen Tobolowsky. The Festival is the largest annual Jewish arts, culture and literary event in Houston and welcomes 5,000 guests during its two-week run.

We hope you'll join us and support this longstanding program. When we gather together during the festival to celebrate Jewish arts, culture and literature, we believe we will find solace and maybe even a bit of joy in being together as a community. Watch for updates.
