On June 24-July 1 we will be hosting an event to participate with other JCCs to connect to and cycle along with the Jewish community in Krakow. We will be hosting two book end cycle classes of 55 minutes to mark the occasion as well as times to use the spin studio on your own to complete your own 55 mile ride all week to honor the JCC Krakow.
Ride For The Living (RFTL) is a 4-day event (June 28-July 1, 2018) that gives you a chance to immerse yourself in the Jewish past, present, and future and to discover and celebrate Jewish life in Poland. A full program of RFTL activities, including the highlight bike ride, will take place during the Jewish Culture Festival (June 23-July 1, 2018), which welcomes over 30,000 people and offers around 300 events each year.
The 2018 edition will mark 5 years of Ride For The Living, 10 years of JCC Krakow, and 30 years of the Jewish Culture Festival. Join us for this meaningful anniversary and become part of Jewish life in Poland!
JCC Krakow provides a Jewish home for all generations through their Senior Club, whose membership includes over 70 Holocaust survivors, Hillel Gimel Student Club, Sunday School, Frajda preschool, and Club Bet for adults.
Please join us at the J in a cycle class to participate in the Ride for the Living via a presentation during your ride of film and photos commemorating the event. We will have an opportunity for members to ride in a 55 minute class and/or ride your own mileage using our Fitness Center’s spin studio during set times.
If you have any questions regarding this event or times of classes and rides, please contact Caitlin Cecil at firstname.lastname@example.org.
