The safety and well-being of our community remains our first priority, and we appreciate our continued partnership with you to ensure a healthy and safe environment. With continued reports of a higher than desired amount of positive COVID-19 cases in Harris County, we must all stay vigilant.
In accordance with the executive order signed by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo on June 19, effective today, Monday, June 22, all participants age 10 and older will be required to wear a facial covering (masks, bandana, scarf, etc.) while at the JCC. Facial coverings will be required at entry to the facility, exit from the facility and when in public areas. Facial coverings will not be required when engaging in physical activity, while consuming food or drink or if it poses a greater mental or physical health risk. Social distancing of at least 6 feet from others even while wearing a facial covering needs to be maintained.
All of the health and safety guidelines and protocols have been created to ensure everyone’s health and safety, and your full participation and partnership is required and essential. Join with us in doing our part to protect the community by supporting these efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19. Should you have any additional questions, feel free to contact Teri Greenblatt, Assistant Executive Director and COVID-19 Coordinator, at
