Yom HaZikaron is Israel's official remembrance day dedicated to fallen soldiers and civilian victims of hostilities.
Yom Ha'Atzmaut is Israel's Independence Day and birthday.
Join @JCCAssociationofNorthAmerica and @VirtualJCC on April 7, April 13, and April 14 for “Days of Memory: From Commemoration to Celebration,” a free signature, three-night viewing experience featuring exclusive content created by JCCs across the continent for Yom HaShoah, Yom HaZikaron, and Yom Ha'Atzmaut. This flagship program series to mark these Israeli holidays uses storytelling, first-person accounts, music, and more to explore how telling and retelling is shaped by memory; transformed through commemoration; and, over time, shared in celebration. #DaysOfMemory #JCCMovement
Take a virtual walk through the Yom HaZikaron Virtual Museum where you will learn about the Israeli traditions observed on this day. Recommended for middle school age and up.
Taste of Memories
Let's cook together in the memory of a fallen IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldier. Taste of Memories is based on an Israeli Yom HaZikaron project of making the favorite recipes of a fallen loved one, while sharing memories of them.
Our Taste of Memories is dedicated to Sean Carmeli, a soldier from Texas who died in Gaza during operation "Tzuk Eitan."
Be one of the first 50 families to RSVP to receive your recipe ingredients free of charge. Recommended for middle school age and up.
