After School Programs
After School at the J | Gr K- 5
Monday-Friday | 3:30-6:00 PM | October 19-December 18 | 1-5 day(s)/week options available
After School at the J provides a safe and nurturing place where kids continue to learn and grow with supervised homework help, sports, games and art and crafts. This all-inclusive after-school program includes transportation from school, supervision, and an afternoon of fun and friends. We work closely with your child's school to coordinate a daily pickup from many elementary schools in the area. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis and bus space is limited.
Please note that we must have a minimum number of students from a school in order to offer that bus route.
After School Transportation Only
Need transportation from school to your afternoon classes? A J bus can pick up your child from school and bring them to the J for class. Classes must start by 4:15 PM to take advantage of this option. The parent/guardian must pick their child up from class once it is over. Daily and monthly pricing available starting as low as $17 per day.
Specific details about cost and policies can be found in our After School at the J Parent Handbook.
What if I Need Care When School is Out?
We have fun days of programming when school is out for in-service or specific holidays. After School at the J families will be first to receive details and secure a spot to ensure that their children have a fun-fill day when there is no school.
We will offer our first School Days Out program on Oct 21, 2020. Registration Open!
Our Fall/Winter Camp package will include both Thanksgiving (Nov 23-25) and Winter break (Dec 21-31). The Fall/Winter Camps cannot be prorated and is aligned with the HISD calendar.
No After School at the J programs or vacation camp will be offered:
- Nov 3
- Nov 26-27
- Dec 25
- Jan 1
