About Teen Theatre

For the show-ready teen, we offer the opportunity to perform in full-scale productions in the Kaplan Theatre each fall and spring. Students experience the entire theatrical process – from auditions and casting, to rehearsals, tech and performances.

Students in middle school can participate in our Second Stage program, where they can really take their training to the next level and tackle scripts that speak to their age and interests.

High schoolers can participate in our Mainstage program, which will challenge them even further and fine tune their character-building and scene-study skills. Children graduating out of the Mainstage program will be ready to step into any college theatre program, if that is the path they choose.

Mainstage Production – Fall 2021

Pride and Prejudice
November 20-21
This isn’t your grandmother’s Austen! Bold, surprising, boisterous, and timely, this P&P for a new era explores the absurdities and thrills of finding your perfect (or imperfect) match in life. The outspoken Lizzy Bennet is determined to never marry, despite mounting pressure from society. But can she resist love, especially when that vaguely handsome, mildly amusing, and impossibly aggravating Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn?! This new adaptation turns the well-known novel on its head – because what turns us into greater fools…than the high-stakes game of love?

Second Stage Production – Fall 2021

Legally Blonde, Jr.
December 2-5
Legally Blonde Jr. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands and charms her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive.
