Yom Ha’atzmaut: Yossi Vasa Artist Talk

Yossi Vasa is an Israeli actor and creator best known for his Emmy Award-winning series Nevsu. At the J’s Yom Ha’atzmaut event for adults, Yossi will be joined by visual artist Yarden Vassa for a unique and dynamic performance that brings their joint graphic novel to life. Together, they will take the audience on a fascinating journey through Yossi’s personal story—from his immigration from Ethiopia to Israel, through the cultural and social challenges, and into his creative rise in Israeli society.

Through storytelling, live illustration, and humor, Yossi and Yarden will share selected scenes from their graphic novel, weaving together themes of identity, belonging, and creativity. This special two-person performance offers an inspiring glimpse into their artistic collaboration and into the richness and diversity of Israeli society.
