DESCRIPTION:Anat Ronen is a Houston-based artist known for her large-scale murals and public artworks. Since moving to the US in 2006 from Israel\, she has built an international career creating site-specific works. \nAnat started collecting old family photos during the pandemic. When painting from these references in large scale\, those moments become time portals; they also become a collective memory. \nThe exhibition invites us to reflect on the rituals of analog photography and preservation\, embracing the impermanence of what we try to hold onto. With nostalgia and a desire to push the boundaries of her artistic practice\, Anat weaves together these personal and anonymous images into a statement about the stories we carry and how we preserve them. \nCome meet Anat and see a live painting of her work.
