Aquatics Facility Guidelines

Lap Swimming, Water Jogging – Members 13 years old and older

Lanes in the Joe Darksy (50m) and Bertha Alyce pools will continue to be open for lap swimming and water jogging (walking) with the same schedule and hours during the weekdays. We will be adjusting the hours on the weekends and opening up Merfish in the afternoons. We will continue with the policy of one member per lane with the exception of two family members from the same household sharing one lane.

We will be opening up the diving well for aqua joggers during the week from 4:00pm – 6:00pm and on the weekends from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM.

Safety Precautions

  1. All swimmers will enter through the outdoor pool main gate. You will scan your badge, or show a photo ID, show the receptionist your completed health screen confirming that you currently are not showing any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. This is mandatory to complete prior to each visit and to enter the facility. In addition, members are required to wear masks when entering and exiting the facilities.
  2. All swimmers will exit through the side pool gate and exit to the parking lot through the pedestrian gate.
  3. All swimmers will need to bring their own towel, goggles, water or drink, water bottle and any equipment that you may need to use for your swim or workout.
  4. Each swimmer under the age of 16 will be required to take and pass the swim test to be in the water without a parent with them. Each child will only get 1 chance per day to pass the swim test.
  5. If all lanes are full and people are waiting, we will ask everyone to keep their time in the water to one hour.
  6. There will be furniture (sitting chair and table) for your personal items. We do encourage everyone to use the table and chair behind the lane you are using. Each table will be spread out to support social distancing
  7. Members will have access to the restrooms outside by the splash pad and we ask that only one person at a time enter
  8. When you are finished with your swim, please collect your things and exit through the appropriate gate to the parking lot. This will allow the next swimmer waiting to quickly access the pool for their swim or workout.
  9. Any items left at the pool by the end of the day will be disposed of.

Family Recreation Swim

We will be opening up our aquatic complex to families for rec swim on the weekends and during the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the weekend we will utilize a block schedule for our pool hours where we will take breaks throughout the day to clean and sanitize the facility. During the weeknights we will be open for just one block of time per night.

We will allow a maximum of 15 families during each time block. Each family will be assigned to a zone at one of the pools in an area that is compatible to the members of that family. For example, a family with children ages 2-5, will be assigned a zone in one of the shallower areas while a family with teenagers or adults will be assigned a zone in one of the deeper sections.

When approaching the check in booth and checking in, we do ask all members to please wear a mask. Please make sure to check in at the booth by the outdoor pool and not at the fitness center. While at the facility and not in the pool, we will encourage members to wear masks.

Safety Precautions

  1. The open rec swim is open and available for families living in the same house and on the same account. Parents will be expected to be at the pool with all children under the age of 16.
