Jewish Learning
The Bobbi & Vic Samuels Center for Jewish Living and Learning (CJLL) offers classes, lectures, programs, and other meaningful Jewish experiences for the Houston community, including rich, in-depth Jewish studies courses designed by local Jewish educators.
There are a multitude of classes at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center and we are proud to partner with other community agencies. We pride ourselves on our outstanding faculty, who engage our students and create a learning environment that is text based, pluralistic and welcoming to all.

Torah Study
Shoshi and Harel Bassan
Torah study is back at the J! Beginning Thursday, May 18 at noon, and every Thursday thereafter, our Shlichim Shoshi and Harel Bassan will offer a discussion of the weekly Torah portion. They offer a unique perspective, as we learn with them—The Israeli Parsha!
While we all read the same parsha, their perspective as Israelis offers a different way of reading and interpreting this universal text. Their thoughts and the ensuing discussions promise to be lively and challenging.
Bring your lunch and join them for The Israeli Parsha! Lunch may also be purchased at Laykie’s Café.
Ben Bag Bag said: Turn it over, and [again] turn it over, for all is therein. And look into it; And become gray and old therein; And do not move away from it, for you have no better portion than it. (Pirkei Avot 5:22)
To register please contact Shoshi Bassan at sbassan@erjcchouston.org.
