RE:COLLECTION By Anat Ronen

February 10 – March 27
Meet the Artist and Live Painting: Sunday, March 15 | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Anat Ronen is a Houston-based artist known for her large-scale murals and public artworks. Since moving to the US in 2006 from Israel, she has built an international career creating site-specific works.

Anat started collecting old family photos during the pandemic. When painting from these references in large scale, those moments become time portals; they also become a collective memory.

The exhibition invites us to reflect on the rituals of analog photography and preservation, embracing the impermanence of what we try to hold onto. With nostalgia and a desire to push the boundaries of her artistic practice, Anat weaves together these personal and anonymous images into a statement about the stories we carry and how we preserve them.
