Indoor playscape
The indoor playscape is a bright, imaginative space designed especially for young children to play, explore and socialize year-round. Created for kids ages five and under, the playscape features fun elements like tunnels to crawl through, slides to race down and interactive structures such as a play firetruck that spark creativity and active play. A dedicated infant area provides a safe spot for babies to practice crawling and climbing, while parents and caregivers supervise nearby. Whether escaping Houston’s heat or a rainy day, the indoor playscape offers families a welcoming place where little ones can burn energy, build confidence and make new friends.
Rules
- THIS SPACE IS DESIGNED FOR CHILDREN AGES 5 AND YOUNGER ONLY. Children over the age of 5 are not allowed in the playscape.
- ALL CHILDREN MUST HAVE A PARENT/GUARDIAN PRESENT INSIDE THE SPACE to provide supervision for the entire visit.
- SHOES ARE NOT PERMITTED. Cubbies are available to store personal items and shoes during your visit.
- NO FOOD IS PERMITTED IN THE SPACE aside from pre-made bottles for infants or a closed cup/bottle with water for older children and adults.
- DIAPER CHANGING IS NOT PERMITTED. Restrooms are available in the hallway outside of the indoor playscape. Changing tables can also be found in the family restrooms and locker rooms across from the aquatics center.
- Strollers are not allowed inside the play space. Please leave strollers in the playscape foyer.
- Socks are suggested for children but not required. Adults can wear socks, or we will provide shoe covers at the entrance.
- Please be kind and courteous to others using the space.
- Language, noise level and play should be monitored by supervising parents/guardians.
- For safety and security reasons, the doors must remain closed and may not be propped open.
- Toys, balls or other items from home are not allowed in the playscape.
- Please report any issues, concerns or repairs to the staff at the welcome desk or call 713-729-3200 to be connected to the desk for an emergency or immediate need.

J Camps Registration is Now Open!
Camps is the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC’s day camp program for children in preschool through grade 10 with options for Art, Culinary, Dance, Gymnastics, Sports, Tennis, Theatre and so much more! We provide a Jewish Summer Camp that supports camper’s social emotional growth as they form friendships, gain independence, build confidence, and find joy in each day through a Jewish lens!
