Community resources are available for older adults and youth in need across Harris County and Greater Houston. Programs include meal delivery, companionship and support for older adults, and mentoring and tutoring for children. If you or a loved one could benefit, we can help connect you with the right program.
Meals On Wheels
If you or anyone you know meets these qualifications and is interested in receiving a home-delivered meal, please fill out our J Meals on Wheels Enrollment Request Form to start the eligibility and assessment process. RSVP Volunteer Program
AmeriCorps Seniors Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Southeast Texas pairs thousands of Americans aged 55 and older with organizations making change in communities across the country. Volunteers who serve in our RSVP program choose how, where, and when they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours a month to 40 hours per week.
AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program
The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) of Harris County offers adults age 55 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors and confidants or role-models for children and youth with special and exceptional needs.
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP
The AmeriCorps Seniors Senior Companion Program (SCP) of Harris County gives adults age 55 and older the opportunity to help older adults age in place by providing companionship and respite to family caregivers.
J Ride provides safe, reliable, non-emergency transportation for Jewish adults ages 60+ and adults with disabilities.
