HIIT ClassOn Thursday mornings at 5:30 AM or 6:05 AM, come to the Fitness Center to take our new class, Express HIIT

What is HIIT?

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. Basically, work your booty off in intervals for maximum benefit. We will work in bursts of energy and short bursts of rest for a short amount of time.

This type of workout is well suited for all fitness levels and modifications, and you are expected to work 80-90% of your max. The workouts are efficient because you burn a high amount of calories in a short amount of time.

“Interval workouts, compared to steady-paced ones, have a higher afterburn effect, meaning you continue to burn calories after your workout is over for a longer period of time.”

-PopSugar Fitness

What Does this Mean for You?

This means if you only have 20-30 minutes in your day to squeeze in a workout, HIIT is how to do it!  People often think that you have to spend hours in the gym to see results; it just is not true. If you can only get in for a short amount of time, maximize the effort with HIIT!

Thursday mornings are your time to try our new 30 minute Express HIIT class. One starts at 5:30 AM and one starts at 6:05 AM.  We also have a 30 minute interval format of Turn and Burn at 5:30 AM and 6:05 AM so you can alternate your interval training as needed!
