Last week we announced our new Schools Day at the J initiative to support families and children as they transition back to school and our fall line-up of enrichment programs for children and teens. Watch for additional announcements in the coming days regarding our fall programs in:
- Jewish Education
- High Holiday Boot Camp
- 12th Annual Rice University Jewish Studies Lecture Series
- Continuing virtual author talks, films and fitness programs
And don't forget our Family Recreation swim sessions on Saturday, Sundays and Tuesday and Thursday nights! Details on all of the programs can be found on our website and in our weekly eblasts.
When we started this journey with you a number of months ago, none of us had a clue where it would take us and how we would get there. While we had to alter course a little over the summer, we have remained open and operational as we have learned together how to live in our new world and the realities of today and tomorrow.
As the summer winds down and we turn our attention to the fall, I ask each of you to join me in a collective "Yasher Koach," a heartfelt congratulations for an excellent job to each and every J staff member. To our Meals on Wheels drivers, our Summer Fun counselors, our lifeguards, our security team, our West Houston and BAS teachers, our building services staff, our staff in the tennis and fitness center that ensure that the J is open and clean, to our accounting and marketing staff working tirelessly behind the scenes, our gymnastic coaches, our cleaning crew and to everyone that is working day and night on a daily basis to make your J a safe, welcoming and healthy destination. The next time you are here, please take a minute to say thanks to a J staff member for making it all possible.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Joel Dinkin
Chief Executive Officer
