Instructor: Celebrity Chef Trenica Ashley

Though she has made her mark as a private chef to notable brands, celebrities and public figures, Chef Trenica Ashley has more recently risen to fame since her debut on the Food Network cooking competition show “Ciao House,” set in Tuscany, Italy.

Trenica Ashley is the mother of a beautiful teenage daughter and wife to a loving husband and is a part of the art of flavor and culture running through her veins. As a New Orleans native, she grew up with a strong family culture of rich cuisines. Blending her diverse flavors and refined techniques, she has developed her own unique ‘infused’ style that stands alone, yet feels like home.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, Trenica took on the oil and gas industry and then led a promising career path in pharmaceutical research. However, the world of food continued to pull at her heartstrings, and she ultimately decided to make a detour from the road of chemical science to the art and science of food and nutrition.

Trenica went on to attain her AAS of Culinary Arts at Houston Community College, along with her certification in Nutritional Education.

Today, she finds inspiration in being a part of the Cramer-Jacobs Family Culinary Studio as the new culinary arts program coordinator, continually surrounding herself with everyday people, thriving on positive energy and building authentic connections. Her love for hidden cultural and culinary gems stems from her early New Orleans roots, where culture, food, music and family intertwine with the fabric of the community.

“Always a Chef,” Trenica’s philosophy, revolves around the power of food to bring people together. She aims to continue making a difference by inspiring others through food and leadership deeply rooted in faith and love for family.
