Reflections on the Yom Kippur War

As the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War approaches, the J is honored to host Dr. Moshe Vardi who experienced these dramatic events as an infantry soldier while serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. He will offer both historical and personal perspective to this pivotal event in Middle East history.

Currently, Moshe Y. Vardi is University Professor, Karen Ostrum George Distinguished Service Professor in Computational Engineering at Rice University, where he is leading an initiative on technology, culture and society. He is also a faculty scholar at the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University.
