One lecture. Three locations. An opportunity to discover the stories that connect us.
Every archive has stories waiting to be discovered. Join Melissa Cohen-Nickels, Curator of the Joan and Stanford Alexander South Texas Jewish Archives at Rice University, for a lively conversation about the people, places, objects and unexpected discoveries found in the archives. Through an interview-style discussion, Melissa will explore why the archives were created, what they preserve and some of the remarkable stories that have emerged from the collections. Come behind the scenes and discover what the archives can tell us about Jewish life in Houston and South Texas and our place in the story.
