J Camps
J Camps is the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC’s day camp program for children in preschool through grade 10 with options for Art, Culinary, Dance, Gymnastics, Sports, Tennis, Theatre and so much more! We provide a Jewish Summer Camp that supports camper’s social emotional growth as they form friendships, gain independence, build confidence, and find joy in each day through a Jewish lens!
J Camps 2026 Registration Opens Sunday, February 1!

Here is what you need to know.
- An active membership is required to register your child for Pre-Check.
- Only active members who have registered their child for Pre-Check will be allowed to register for J Camps on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
- Membership must remain active through the last day of camp.
- Pre-Check registration opens on Monday, December 8, 2025.
- The deadline for Pre-Check registration is Wednesday, January 28 at 3:00 PM.
- Pre-Check registration must be completed for each child you plan to register on February 1, 2026.
Pre-Check registration will allow you to:
- Become familiar with the registration platform.
- Ensure that you have a $0 balance on your account.
- Update your email address, phone number and emergency contacts.
- Ensure your child’s birthday, grade level and school are accurate.
What’s New for Summer 2026
New Camps Offerings
- Pencil Pals will be offered to rising kindergartners Pre-Camp week ( June 1-5)
- NEW JR CAMPS (1st-2nd)- Hip-Hop, Disney Dance, Dance Eras, Makers Club, Wacky Science, Pencil Pals, Magic Camp,Soccer with the Houston Dynamo and Indoor Baseball,
- NEW CAMPS for 3rd-5th! 3D Printing, Sculpture Studio, Jewelry Studio, Disney Dance, Triple Threat Training, Magic, Makers Club, and Soccer with the Houston Dynamo.
- To provide the best and safest experience for campers, all Best of Houston camps for 3rd-5th graders will be limited to 24 campers. Water week is week 2 and there will be two groups of 24 campers.
- NEW TEEN CAMPS! Sew Cook Designer Lab, Pickleball, Game On, Soccer with the Houston Dynamo, Coding, 3D Printing, Mah Jongg
Financial Policy
No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations within 5 business days of the camp start date. The previous policy was 10 business days.
There will not be camp t-shirts made this year, however we’re excited to offer some different, fun camp swag!
There will be no roamer option for teen campers. Campers ages 13+ have the option to “check out” of camp at 3:30 PM with parent permission. All campers under 13 must be picked up at 3:30 carpool or be signed up for PM Care.
AM and PM care will not be offered during pre-camp week ( June 1-5)

9:00 AM – 6th – 10th grade
9:30 AM – 3rd – 5th grade
10:00 AM – 1st – 2nd grade
10:30 AM – Kinder Camp
11:00 AM – Camp Bami
11:30 PM – AM/PM Care
2:00 PM – Registration closes until February 4.
Registration for members without Pre-Check and the public will begin on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
